How to Rearrange Songs in a Playlist on Spotify. To rearrange songs in Spotify playlists for your iPhone, do these: 1. Go to your iPhone’s Home screen and locate the Spotify app icon. With Spotify opened, tap on the Library tab on the lower-right part of the screen. Tap on the Playlists option. Locate and tap on the playlist where the songs that you want to rearrange are located.

Have you found a series of songs on Spotify that you think would go well together? Put them together in a playlist! You can give your playlist a unique name, use it as the inspiration for a Spotify radio station, or download it to listen to it without an Internet connection! You can even let other people help you out with it by adding, removing, or reordering songs!

On desktop, you must click on the song-artist-album-date-duration category at the top of the playlist depending on how you want to order it. To make a playlist on Spotify

1. Open the Spotify application on your device of choice and log in.

2. Click New Playlist in the bottom-left corner, and then type in a name for your new playlist. Then press the “Enter” key on your keyboard.

3. You can also start a playlist with an album or song by clicking the “…” icon next to it (or right-clicking your mouse on it), moving your mouse over Add to Playlist, and then left-clicking New Playlist.

4. To add more songs to your playlist, simply click and hold the mouse button on a song, drag it to the name of the playlist that you want to add it to, and then release the mouse button.

   You can also use the method described in step 3, but instead of clicking New Playlist, click the name of the playlist that you want to add the selected song or album to.

To edit a Spotify playlist

1. In the left-hand menu, under “Playlists”, click the playlist that you want to edit.

2. To take a song off your playlist, click the “…” icon beside it, and click Remove from This Playlist.

3. To change your playlist’s name, click the “…” icon beside the Play button, and click Rename.

   Type in a new name for your playlist, and then press the “Enter” key.

4. To allow other people to add to, edit, or reorder tracks on your playlist, click the “…” icon beside the Play button, and click Collaborative Playlist. Do the same thing again to disable these permissions.

To download a Spotify playlist (Premium accounts only)

1. Click the name of the playlist that you wish to download in the left-hand menu, under “Playlists”.

2. Simply click the switch beside “Available Offline” to turn it on. Playlists that have been downloaded (and are thus able to be listened to offline) will have a green arrow beside them under the “Playlists” heading in the left-hand menu.

3. If you go to the File menu and then click Offline Mode, you can use Spotify without being connected to the Internet. Any playlists that you’ve downloaded will be able to be listened to, along with any music on your device’s local storage.

To delete a Spotify playlist

1. In the left-hand menu, under “Playlists”, click the playlist that you wish to delete to select it.

2. Click the “…” icon beside the Play button, and then click Delete.

3. Spotify will ask you if you really want to delete the playlist. Click Delete if you’re sure.

   (NOTE: If you delete a playlist and then later decide that you want it back, there is a way to recover it. We’ll show you how in our Spotify Tips and Tricks article.)

Get your music collection in order

With Organize Your Music you can easily organize your saved music. Just follow these steps:

1. Select what music you'd like to organize: Your Saved Music; Music you've added to playlists; Music in playlists you follow; or all of it.
2. Click on Organize your Music. If this is your first visit, you will be asked to ...
3. Login with your Spotify credentials. Organize Your Music will place all of your tracks into a number of bins. There are Genres, Moods, Decades, Popularity and more.
4. Pick one of the bins. You can view all the properties of the tracks in that bin. You can plot the tracks. You can listen to previews of the songs in the bin.
5. Select tracks that you want to add to a playlist. Selected tracks will be added to your Staging Playlist. When you are happy with the staging playlist you can

Don't worry. Organize Your Music will never modify any of the songs in your saved music or playlists. It will only save new playlists for you, and only when you explictly click on the save button.

1. Genre - the genre of the track
2. Year - the release year of the recording. Note that due to vagaries of releases, re-releases, re-issues and general madness, sometimes the release years are not what you'd expect.
3. Added - the earliest date you added the track to your collection.
4. Beats Per Minute (BPM) - The tempo of the song.
5. Energy - The energy of a song - the higher the value, the more energtic. song
6. Danceability - The higher the value, the easier it is to dance to this song.
7. Loudness (dB) - The higher the value, the louder the song.
8. Liveness - The higher the value, the more likely the song is a live recording.
9. Valence - The higher the value, the more positive mood for the song.
10. Length - The duration of the song.
11. Acousticness - The higher the value the more acoustic the song is.
12. Speechiness - The higher the value the more spoken word the song contains.
13. Popularity - The higher the value the more popular the song is.
14. Duration - The length of the song.
